TEMPERLEY

Since its launch during London Fashion Week 2000, the Temperley London label has become synonymous with timeless glamour, exquisite craftsmanship and collections desired by women all over the world.

Following the establishment of the first Temperley boutique in London's Notting Hill in 2002, three further stand-alone stores have opened their doors in New York (2003), Los Angeles (2005), and Dubai (2008). Temperley produces four collections a year including a highly sought-after Ready-To-Wear line, Bridal, Accessories and its exclusive "Black Label" collection of exquisite evening dresses. Temperley London is now also sold online as well as globally in 35 countries and over 220 stockists.

Working from the fabric up, the collections contain show stopping dresses, a selection of daywear, signature intarsia and knits, exclusively in-house designed prints and leather. Each season Alice is inspired by the world around her, ranging from trips to Mexico and the Far East to scouring the vintage markets of London and Paris. The inspirations are woven together and result in coherent yet exciting collections, each with their own story.

Tracing her design philosophy back to her specialist training in Fabric Technology and Print at The Royal College of Art, Alice designs the seasonal prints and embroideries for which she has become renowned, infusing each garment with a characteristic attention to detail. From the luxurious silks and French lace to the intricate hand-beading, embroidery, oversized stone and sequin embellishments - all have become trademarks of the Temperley design philosophy. Pieces are designed to be timeless and versatile and ultimately to flatter, creating clothes to treasure that will last a lifetime.

Constantly evolving, Alice plans to extend her love of surface decoration and unrivalled craftsmanship with more Temperley boutiques - as well as extending the line to include home ware, travel accessories, menswear and childrenswear. The Temperley design philosophy is set to extend its influence, transforming it from one of Britain's leading luxury brands to an all-encompassing lifestyle.
